WooshBuild Wooshbuild Infinity Support Thread

That's what I'm saying on version 7 wooshbuild you could just back-up and flash save doing all the updates. But now there's no options too do that. But when you do the 156 updates it's too many and the box gets stuck in boot . So then you have too try too reflash infinity again lol
So I would suggest you don't do the updates as there is clearly a bad one in there. The updates are coming out in huge chunks at the moment even using the very latest openATV download. The last versions for the H9 have killed the box so ATV must be making some major changes along the way.

I know what you are saying by flahing WB7 brings your box back to life, but all you are doing in effect is flashing a working version of an image. Download openatv 6.1 and put it on usb stick and it will always fix your box, it isn't wb7 making your box work again, it is just that the latest 6.2 is clearling making your box hang, or at least the updates are.

I tried to setup a Zgemma H2S with Wooshbuild 5 with the new Infinity for a friend. I used the same USB with Infinity on.

It booted and got message USB on the box.

I thought all was ok, but when it booted i expected to have Infinity with the Freesat 7. I got the old Wooshbuild 5 front with tv channels in wrong place.

I thought no problem, I'll just flash with the Wooshbuild 7 and overwrite.

It did not flash and can't get any further. I still have tv channels but not very satisfactory

Where am I going wrong

Important:

Don't forget that openATV 6.2 is an unstable beta version and you may experience problems using it (not that I have found) but certainly running Software updates.

Please use openATV 6.1 if you are not happy to flash your box should an update break it.

I carnt there is only 1 image file on that avt choice thing that fits h2h box and it's air somthing and when you put that in back of the box from usb it does not recognise it all. Is there no way too just do what we did on v7 instead of update we just flashed and back-up the latest version from menu and that included all the updates . Is this nothing like this in this version?

There are two images for the H2H for openATV 6.1 which I suggest you use or there are three images for openATV 6.2

6.1 Images: http://images.mynonpublic.com/openatv/current/index.php?open=zgemmah2h
6.2 images: http://images.mynonpublic.com/openatv/6.2/index.php?open=zgemmah2h

Download one of those and flash from the USB stick, just like you do when you flash WooshBuild 7. When you put the USB in the box and turn the box on, you need to press the front power button when the LCD says USB / UPDT like I said in post 185 this morning.

Or just use WooshBuild 7 and follow the instructions to sort the channels out: http://www.techkings.org/threads/wooshbuild-support-thread.109525/page-273#post-872569

No there is no way to do what you did with WooshBuild 7 with WooshBuild Infinity. Follow the instructions though and you will sort it.

Ok thanks will try when I get bk home. Sorry too be a pain it's just with being unable too flash version 7 anymore I have no choice . Thanks josh.

To all:

We appreciate that WooshBuild Infinity is a completely new way to set up WooshBuild but

I will improve on the the instructions to make it as easy as possible to follow, but in effect you are flashing your box with a standamd openATV image and then running the WooshBuild Infinity installer afterwards. Everything else is done for you as you would expect from WooshBuild.

Please don't take offence at the picture, it is just for fun.

If you can flash from the box do it that way as it is quicker with less messing about. Blue button -> Flash online / local -> Green -> Select atv image and press green.

When asked if you want to backup your settings, if you have any you want to keep like your lines etc say yes. You don't have to restore them but at least they will be safe.

Then select option 1 once the image has downloaded to flash and start wizard.

Yes, open webif, click terminal, login as root and type the command and press enter.

Please don't put the command in here unless you use a code tag. When it is in a code tag, non registered users can't see it. This way TechKings get more users to register.

Code:

Well done. It is only because it is different to what you are used to that you struggled a little bit.

The main thing is that you are sorted now :-)

Make a complete backup (Blue button -> Complete Backup) and then you have an emergency USB stick should you need it.

Hi... Quite new to all this if im being totally honest!!! But... I have previously downloaded Wooshbuild Ver 7 to a USB 2.0 16 or 32GB stick.. Stuck in the back of my Zgemma H2.s... Flashed it, Changed to my 2TB External HDD, gone through all the options/setup etc etc and all good. Now though!! I see Wooshbuild Infinity!!!! IM NOW VERY CONFUSED!!!

Start here download the openatv image for your box https://www.opena.tv/downloads/
Click air digital and scroll down the list until you find your box. This will then show you the latest openatv versions for your box.
Download the latest one and flash that to your box in the very same way you did with wb7.
