Nicnic howd you get your box to flash in the end?<ive got same problem and been searching this site top and bottom trying to find an answer. thanks paul

Nicnicxx had put the contents of the gemma folder, which is called H3, to his stick and not included the zgemma folder so it would not flash.

Your USB stick must contain the zgemma folder. In this is a folder called H3 and in that are 4 files.

are we on 2.03 ? now??

You are using v2.02, if I have typed v2.03 anywhere is is a typo. I will go through my posts and check.

v2.00 was the initial build which had a couple of valued parts not configured
v2.01 was an update where I missed something else

So v2.02 is the latest version. Your boot screen will say v2

Hi guys I originally flashed my box with vix image, been trying to reflash but my box just boots up when I have the same USB stick in the back USB port. Any ideas how I can get a new image flashed ? Thanks.

If you have the correct Zgemma folder and it is just going straight to boot instead of flash. Shut is down and boot again, as soon as the right light shows on the front, press the power button. You should then see FLSH.

Big thanks for those who contributed to the Wooshbuild.

Quick question, is there a way to slightly delaying when pressing the numbers to change channels? As if you don't press the number keys to the channel you want super fast it changes to BBC 1?

Thanks for the help.

Navigate to channel selection settings and adjust the "Channel Zap delay" settings.

If you are using wireless to connect your PC, trying using a cable instead and see if that makes a difference, a few users have had this issue and it appears to be to do with Windows and networks.

I had that once, restarted box and laptop in that order and it fixed it. If it still isn't working, test IPTV player to check you have a working network connection to the box.

Did u just do the first bit or use the fix near the end of the thread? Mine bootlooped but was able to log in on the 5 sec of enigma and replace the pyo.
I combined bot the pyo in the 301 post with the py in later fix. Prob should have deleted pyo but it works so feckit lol

Im jealous of ur 1st post! Detailed as ... ;)

Let me know

I managed to get channel numbers working on mines (problem I had a few weeks back) using autobouquets e2 and changed some settings to remove those annoying non-working sly sport HD channels. Everything on this image seems to work a treat and also seems to have fixed the problem with crossEPG not populating guide automatically overnight. Thanks again WooshMan. :D

Tried all of the above but still the same. Any other ideas lol
You will have to manually FTP your line across I am afraid. Filezilla or Dream Explorer from Plugins. Or if you can see the Zgemma on your computer network you can simply copy the file(s) into the usr/keys folder and then continue with the steps.

Thanks alot that worked. got another problem.. when i switch channel. it comes up saying creating hardlink to timeshift file failed. the filesystem onyour timeshift-device does not suppeort hardlinks. any ideas

You need to make sure you have initialised your USB device as per step one and then change the timeshift location to the timeshift folder on the USB device. I don't remember which step it is in the instructions but it is there.

Hi Wooshman, just a wee problem I have new line as per recommendation, I don't understand the build and how to install it because I did not have line prior to me doing your build, could you give me a numptys guide please cheers again

OK numpty's guide is step 6 of all my instructions.

Remember right at he start of the instructions you created a folder on the desktop and then extracted the zip file you downloaded for the image? It has two folders, one called zgemma, one called "Put your line on box"

Copy both the files which were emailed to you by your line provider into the folder called "Put your line on box" Overwrite any files that already exist if asked. Now run the Line_Installer file and you will see a black window. Have a look for successful messages. Then follow the rest of the steps.

That is a quick guide, step 6 of the instructions cover it in full detail.

Cheers I take it that means I have to put the USB that has your build on it back in to the front of the box and start from there?
im confused as you can gather,,, sorry thanks again

Wooshman, if I wanted to make a backup of the Slyk skin, do I just need to copy the Slyk folder which sits in the Emigma 2 folder or are there any other files as well? It's just so I can tinker with OpenAtv. Thanks.

No mate, when you downloaded the image first of all, it is a zip file. One folder is called zgemma (the one you had all the fun with) and the other folder is called Put line on box.

You need to copy your files from your provider into the "put line on box folder"

If you deleted the folder you "should" have created on your desktop, download the image again from the first post on page one, and start the instructions. You will extract the zip file to your dekstop. Then jump to step 6.

The best way you can play with OpenATV is to make a backup of your box: Green Button -> Right Arrow -> Complete Backup

You will need a USB stick in the front port. This will backup your box exactly how it is now (not my fault if it goes wrong - not normal though)

The download the lastest Nightly build from zgemma.tv for the H2S and flash your box with that. You will get a raw, bare bones OpenATV. Then use Kiddac's setup guide :-)

The when you have finished, you either put your backup back on the box (re-flash) or you end up happy with the work you have done to your clean build.
