Satellite Zgemma h7s stuck on boot

Really.?
Isn't it designed to work with the ampere it's calibrated for?
The PSU deteriorates over time, it might only be putting out 1A which isn't enough to boot the box.
This is a very common problem with enigma2 boxes and using a more powerful PSU is always the answer

Oh right.
Debating whether to get another psu or accept this is dead

OK tried various other psu around the house but it all ends up getting stuck on boot.
I can try the power supply from my vu duo 4k or ultimo 4k.
Would that be safe tho?

You would have to match the voltage ratings and say not use an 18v when other item is 12v

When you have bad eyesight small writing matters as to not blowing it up.

Did you reflash with another power supply as not sure ?

But a 12v is always going to be 3a isn't it?
I really don't think it's gonna make any difference. This unit is faulty man. Just bad luck.

OK so it's definitely the unit and not power supply.
I used the duo 4k psu which is 12v 5a and it still stuck on boot.
Guess I've tried everything.

Probably not what you wanted to hear but my H7S flashed okay.

Box completely powered off with no HDD installed.
No cables connected at all apart from a 12v 5a power supply.

Downloaded this image: https://www.openvix.co.uk/openvix-builds/zgemmah7/openvix-6.2.011.release-zgemmah7_recovery_emmc.zip
Extracted it to a fat32 formatted usb stick. Don't mess about changing file names from noforce to force etc. It should just have a zgemma folder in the root of the drive.

Plugged the stick into the rear of the box in the bottom usb2 slot (white not blue).
Press and hold the little button under the front flap.

Power on with the white button on the back of the box.

Display will briefly show USB and then FLSH.
Wait until the box reboots and power off with the white button on the back of the box.

Remove the flash drive and insert storage media.
Connect all cables and power on.

If this doesn't work I would get a 5A PSU.

I don't think it will be bricked, they are very tough boxes.
I used to flash mine with HD51 firmware and it survived (y)

But I have tried all this. See the video.
I even tried a 5a psu and it still won't boot up. After flashing it gets stuck on boot. I never get picture coming or numbers climbing
Yours is obviously working. Mine is faulty.

This is probably your problem.
There's a button you haven't found.
Find it and hold it in when you power on and it will flash.
What are talking about there's only one button on the front of the receiver to press and hold when you power on.
That initiates the flash which I'm doing if you watch the video.
