Mobile phone tethering

Hi guys just done a firestick for a friend who wants to use it for iptv how come when he moves his mobile phone it starts freezing on the firestick? He’s using mobile phone tethering.

Could be when he moves the phone signal drops or that he moves further away from the fire stick and the signal between the two drops.

is there a way to get stronger signal with tethering?

Either put the box next to the phone where the cell signal is strongest or put phone next to box so the wifi signal is stonger.

He hasn’t got broadband he pays monthly to get unlimited internet and calls

Well something has to change, upgrade the phone maybe to one with wifi 6 or upgrade the firestick to one with the latest wifi also. Maybe put the sim in a mifi and tether the phone off that. Dont know really.

Maybe try a mobile sim router it may increase the cell strength to the device.
Something in the property maybe interfering will the cell signal on the phone etc. Not 100% sure if theres an app you can download to test the cell network strength on the mobile phone or not which might give you an indication of a weak spot in the property.

I was gonna post this, download a signal app and walk around the house till you find a good signal.
