CK in all fairness m8, pablo, baz and source have given you great advice there, for the sake of 2 quid change your cable mate, it might work, New ethernet cables are far more productive now and also don't 4get if your computer is 10 years old, what are you expecting bud? But 1st thing 1st buy a cable its only 2 quid, even if it dont work it can't be anyworse so it's a win win
Also
@channelking the longer the cable the worse speeds you will have, but its a non starter if your using adapters, they will destroy your speed, you will get dropouts if your using an ethernet adapter
The reason why I think he can't change the cable is I think he's plugged it into his neighbours router lol! He doesn't want to go round and tell them that their router is playing up lol that's literally the only explanation I can think off!
Ffs 🤣🤣 how far is the router away
@channelking, give us a little bit more info bud
What I dont understand here is,
@TheSource has asked on 2 separate occasions how far the hub is away from the pc and I've asked twice but no response yet you say to source "why do you keep going on about ethernet cable" you don't know what the problem is yourself so why would you say that CK? If your not going to give any information to help people understand the problem better then it's propz for the best you don't start a thread on it, all I can see is people have tried to help here but again it's you seem to not want to try what people are suggesting
And I'm telling you now if your using a 200 metre cable that's travelling from outside to inside and then into your router, you now know what your problem is, I've never heard of an ethernet cable having to travel from outside a home then back in and Into router.
