That one doesn't make sense - they clearly had every intention of coming home, they were on an aeroplane that repeatedly tried to get airborne.

Tbh it will be a good final but personally Italy will win it most people on this thread going on about Italy’s old players but have to say they’ve been solid all way through the tournament and think they thoroughly deserve to win it IMO and most of them won’t be playing in next world cup

Italy have looked very well organised but struggled at times to break defensively minded teams down. They do have players who can pull an absolute screamer out of the bag if they're afforded the space and I don't think England have faced any teams with that particular quality yet. Rice and Phillips will be key imo.

Lots talking about Italys defence being solid, but they have conceded three goals so far in the tournament, while England have conceded only once, so both defences are playing well, for me it really is a who plays best on the night game, both sides will fancy their chances of scoring, I hope its Italy that wins it, I have them backed from the start, I predict a 1-1 draw and the game to be won on pens, by who though is the question.

Same here I've £550 to come if Italy wins it but I've always fancied them to win it and will be good for the country with how they was affected with covid

Italy have done well so far even where though at times they have struggled against some of the teams especially breaking then down.

But overall they look good defensively which you expect with Italian teams and offensively they look really dangerous. Really look so impressive.

England have a chance and will be a very very tough but the defence and in particular rice and Phillips will have to be at their absolute best if England are to win the Euros.

I just hope Pickford doesn't screw up as he's always got a mistake in him.

pickford's nervous energy is increasing by the minute each game. he cannot be still.

surely henderson starts v italy in place of philips who is very lucky to be in an international team

kane is a bottle job on the big stage, fancy italy to do it

Agree with Pickford. Despite being somewhat better in the England games he has made some mistakes and always has a mistake in him. Question is could it be costly in the final.

Not sure what you been watching. Phillips has been tremendous in the position he has played. Been one of Englands best players imo.

Kane is Kane and has proven it time and time again even though his form has been poor this tournament. He will always get the nod over the other strikers because of his goal scoring record but also what he offers to the team when he hasnt got the ball.

Ye 100% and I would add Sterling also.

Sterling has made a huge difference to the team with his driving runs forward and causing havoc to the defenders and has bagged himself a few goals in the process too.

Sterling is player of the tournament.

Phillips just doesn't impress me at all at this level. We've played bums all tournament aside from a sub par Germany. Looking good v our opponents ain't all that. Henderson should start if fit.

Kane I don't trust in the big games. His penalty v Denmark was uncharacteristically weak, his mindset for spurs in the build up to the cl was weak, he's failed in the biggest games he's played in. When in form he's a monstrous player, agreed. But I don't think he has the mentality of a great player, we will see.

Kyle Walker England's best player for me, he's the security for that back three - has the pace and reading of the game to cover the whole back line.

Philips and Rice have been a great partnership imo, done the jobs exceptionally well and worked perfectly in tandem. Southgate is big on players following instructions and I think the fact these to follow them to the letter has kept Henderson out of the team. Philips has amazing fitness levels too from playing under Bielsa.
