An absolute breeze to go through the steps!! Worked first time for me. Tried OpenVix on my zgemma but was not content. KUDOS to woosh!! You've made it seem so simple and actually it's my second day trying different things and this was the simplest of all. Tons of best wishes and praises to you and the team!!!!!

Got to say instructions bang on ! Currently struggling with my line but think it's down to being unable to read it from the supplier ! Just waiting on confirmation of my line before trying again - the USB Cam importer is reading what I edit just don't think what I'm editing is correct.

can smeone tell me can u use this on zgemma H2?????? wooshbuild

Yes you can.
The build for the H2S works on the H2 box.

Common beni he said h2 not h2h this will work http://www.techkings.org/zgemma-sta...-transfer-plugin-basebuild-openatv-5-1-a.html with the h2

Hi there
my H2S box keeps stalling intermittently then freezes altogether. I have to restart the box and it goes ok for a while then stalls again.
I'm using an 8Gb USB stick for the epg and I have noticed that a Blue circle appears on the top left every 5 minutes exactly - so don't know if this has something to do with it.
The H2S also has a Micro SD input and I have a spare 64Gb card if you think that might help
Any help would be much appreciated
:willy nilly:

Every 5 minutes the cache gets flushed of old rubbish and your USB stick will be the cause of you seeing the spinner. I would use the 64gb as in theory it will be faster, also the micro SD card is handy for the EPG an picons but on a 64gb stick should fix your spinner and slow down.

If you never rewind live TV you can always turn off timeshift which will help too, but you do lose the ability to rewind live TV.

Cheers Wooshman
I will remove the USB and bung in the SD card and format it according to your build. Going forward I will get a bigger external drive and that will help the timeshift too.
Thanks again
;)

Anyone in Northern Ireland i swapped them like this....

My BBC1 NI HD was in 102 and BBC2 NI HD was 101
Ive added the following line to the custom_swap.txt file in the box via FTP

102=101
141=102

Ive got BBC1 NI HD in 101 now but only got non HD in 102

The best solution Ive found

Just read through the step by step guide at the beginning, Very easy if you just have it on your laptop next to the box

Thanks for this guide, I installed this build last week and the build install itself all went fine but I have an Opticombo USB DVB T/T2/C Tuner and after installing the drivers my box hangs on reboot. I tried a couple of times before flashing back sucmnsee's vix image which works fine with the adapter.

Has anyone come across this before? I'd like to give this build a go if possible but the USB tuner is a must. Cheers :)

Wooshbuild has been specifically built for Zgemma boxes only.
The drivers in the build look for the H3 files and if not found then the the build will not work correctly
Whilst it may well install it will not run without the correct files being used.

Sorry, I don't know if I have confused you or if I'm confused with what you mean but yes I have a Zgemma H.2S.

Wooshbuild itself works fine and I can get sat channels fine. I have an external USB tuner which is the opticombo, when I go to plugins and install the drivers (in the same way as I do for the vix image) they install but then my box hangs after a reboot. I don't experience this with sucmnsee's vix build.

No reason why you should have this problem unless it is an OpenATV issue but I doubt it. If you fancy doing some testing you can always flash the latest nightly build and see if you can make it work with that. ?

Would you post a link to a reliable source for one of these please?

Hi Wooshman, Just to let you know it looks like it is a driver issue with OpenATV, I can't get it to work in stock OpenATV. I have been reading through a German OpenATV thread (using Google translate) which seems to show it was working prior to a January update. Hopefully they will fix this issue, there's not much that can be done until that happens.

tried this last night and all worked great but am struggling to get my gift on arrrrrggghhh any advice sure its something simple

Hi, since I set my box up a couple of days ago I have just been using a 32gb usb stick in the back for storing everything on, including a couple of recordings. I have just got a 1TB usb external drive to replace it. Could someone confirm the best way to do this:

1. format hd on laptop as ext3/ext4 (my laptop runs linux) copy files from usb stick to new drive and plug drive into zgemma.

or

2. create full backup, on the 32gb stick, unplug that and put it in front, plug new drive in back, initialise new drive and restore backup?

once I have done that, does any one know if it is better to use the 32gb in the front for epg etc and hdd for recorrdings/timeshift or is it better to keep everything on the 1gb HDD?

1. format hd on laptop as ext3/ext4 (my laptop runs linux) copy files from usb stick to new drive and plug drive into zgemma.

It's good practice to make a full backup anyway, just in case, but you should just be able to use a new drive without restoring.
I always format to Ext4 and it's probably easier to copy everything from USB to the new HDD on your laptop.
I would recommend switching the ZGemma off altogether and reboot it when you've connected the new drive.

I have just done that without any issues, i had already made a backup yesterday so had that to fall back on if needed but that wasn't needed, copied usb to hdd, plugged in and worked as expected.
