Guide A Guide to IPTV.

I have the formuler z11 and works great but a bit of a tinkerer. When you say certified what does that actually mean??
With certified you will have access to official ATV streaming apps but the device may lack the license for some official streaming apps like some of the UK catchup apps.
This is where you need to be careful and just do a little research because not all certified devices have all the licensing they need for every jurisdiction with certain apps.
They usually will have support for Netflix, Amazon prime, Apple TV etc.

Cheaper Alternative to real debrid

TorBox.app
The Black Friday deal is on as well so essential package works out $23.10 a year and Pro works out at $77 which gives you Usenet are Torbox indexers.
You can use multiple IP’s as well.
Cache is not as big as RD and you may not find older content without usenet.
Personally I am not ready to switch as RD is pretty solid and rarely goes down.

Hi guys,

Apologies if this has been covered in another similar post, i couldn't find a post that quite covered this question

I have recently joined the forum and am loving it, i have managed to find some great services on here.

As am i fairly new to the IPTV scene i was wondering if there was any advice from members or veterans who have been finding providers and services for a long time that you personally find useful when selecting a service?

Personally i have found that things like

- 3rd party support via Telegram or Discord is a must as i'm based in Oceania and knowing that i have support available who can answer my questions is great
- Secure links and Multiple Backups available, ensuring if one link goes down, another is avaliable
- Limited Buffering during busy periods, and events while no service is ever going to be perfect, ensuring that your service can watch an F1 Race in UHD or a Champions League Match with limited or no buffering is the hallmark of a great service.
- Correct channel labeling (this was a big one for me as i didn't realize that some providers might have the channel in the right group but the wrong country) An example that i found was HLN which is a US based channel is often included in Canada Groups but not USA even though it is a USA based channel in reality.
- In a similar vein ensuring services have accurate quality to their channel labeling FHD as FHD and UHD as UHD
- On a similar note to the point above ever since i got a service with a solid EPG i could not even go back to one without one
- Fair Pricing and Trial. this will always be dependent on the individual and i feel something that comes with time and trialing different services.

This is not meant to upset or antagonise any services in anyway, as the services i have found on here have been great.

These are just things that i would have love to have known when i began this journey and with a lot of new people joining the forum (myself included) i am just looking to share in the experiences of the long term and veteran members and provide some solid beginners tips for newcomers on this journey.

Many thanks!

If the question is, "who are the best providers?"
You are wasting your time, the only advice anyone will give you is theirs is best and everyone else is a liar and a thief, this is the only advice they will all give you.

It's trial and error, you have very high expectations and most of them will not be met. Choose which are most important to you and you'll have to compromise on the others

Thanks for your reply pablo, the point of this post was to have a good starting point for newcomers to have when they first start looking and for it to work in tandem with the post on the main subscription page rather than being a list of who are the best providers as like you say it's trial and error finding the best one that works for you.

I just remember running into a heap of pitfalls when I first started and getting caught out by various things and if I can help other newcomers avoid those same pitfalls than great

I think you nail it by saying it is a compromise at the end of the day though, not everything that you want in a service can realistically be achieved and you have to compromise some where, it's all about picking what and what not to compromise.

You can't help newcomers avoid pitfalls.
Anything you, I or anyone else says publicly is seen as 'pushing' one particular service and this won't be tolerated and for good reason.
This is why there is no providers comparison thread, its been brought up hundreds of times, the only thing that would happen is people would push their own, or their providers in return for free months or discounts

Fair play pablo, 'pushing' a particular service was not what I was intending at all with the post, but I can see how it could be seen that way

Therefore it is completely understandable why a post like this one doesn't exist and the main souce of truth is the one on the main request thread.

Thanks for pointing this out

Could you explain the "usenet" bit please ? I currently am using AD after binning RD. But I only use it either in kodi or when downloading from a file service like scene-release. I dont do this thing where you stream directly from the cached content ? I also have the Rrrr's set up with a servers and indexers for usenet . Would Torbox offer me anything that I dont currently have ?

Users recommend subscribing to Usenet instead of using it with TB pro plan. I don’t use Usenet as I prefer using a Debrid service.
But I always have a backup to my Debrid service. I am currently using TB as my main and have RD for backup until my days run out.
I will likely then use AD or PM as a backup
