I won't be putting more skins then what's already on slyk1hd and vskin-hd too many skins are just going to take space on the box try to only have 2 or 3 skins installed at a time.

It's the same for iptv if I add more the box will get slower try to keep the plugins minimal. iptvplayer seems to be the best service what other free plugins would you recommend?
 
I didn't realise that slyk1hd was on the build, how do you access that if you wanted to replace the vskin-hd skin?

I agree any free plugins would need to not cause the H2H to slow down...free plugins maybe the iptvplayer or maybe a picture viewer in 1080p?

I've got the homeplugs now so I'll test the VM line out :)

Have you looked through the box? iptvplayer is already installed for the skin press menu, setup, system, user interface, skin setup and select slyk1 hd
 
I'm going to reflash the box, after all the problems yesterday and start again using your guide, got the home plugs today so will try both the sly and vm tuners, will post an update on here to update you on how I get on or any problems encountered.

no need to generate other bouquets apart from generate main bouquet should be yes
Green to save.
Start scan. Wait.
Exit all
Hold power Restart

i'm getting 'Time out for Tuner Lock' -

After it does it reading sly uk, it goes to reading VM UK scan and then within a few seconds it comes with 'Time out for Tuner Lock' error

Sly UK picked up 832 channels and approx 57 radios, from there it goes to scanning to VM and within a few secs it goes to 'Time out for Tuner Lock' error

Is the problem related to Sly ROI - Bouqets ? or Tuner Set Up?

Can you please help?

Mines showing tennis Washington 500 and that's correct with the sky tv guide

Thanks for this - a question, shouldn't this update itself every morning as part of the epg update? Or am I going to have to do this every other day as my listings have been incorrect a couple of times since setting up the box?
 
I've managed to fix the fault by selecting Barnsley - it was Leeds before

I can't locate the menu for the epgrefresh (cable) go to all channels bouquet select vm preview channel and press blue button then epg refresh now this is setup to automatically run at 5.30 am?

Dsayers can you help?
 
VM preview channel is channel number 5100 or go to all channels and it should be channel number 1.

Press the blue button on remote and it should bring up a menu and the option is on that list

You shouldn't need to do it every day I've noticed the odd bug but not that much I just look for the sd version

Pressing the blue button should come up with extentions then you should see epgrefresh
 
Thanks dsayer and everyone for your help!!

dsayer I noticed in the Sly build that it doesn't allow you to select the headings at the top such as docs, movies, news music, sports etc and the only way is to keep exiting to the main menu, then going into the main menu, then the sub menus etc which is a long process
 
VM Prime Events not working for WWE Battleground PPV - getting sid error - wanted to watch it in HD but having to settle for Sly Box Office SD version. Anyone able to watch it on VM Prime Events and is it in HD?
 
Why has ss1 HD moved to channel 406, and also the cable sports box office doesn't work(prime events). SS box office is showing repeats of WWE but prime events says 'service not found'
 
Sky sports 1 was sorted out this morning at about 7am it was due to them changing the open sports around rescan abm and it should be sorted.

I'll look into prime events I think that prime events don't show repeats like sky does so when nothing is showing you'll get service not found like you used to with bbc3 and they didn't air till a certain time.
 
Cheers dsayers2014, ss 1 all sorted now, cable viewers seem to get a bum deal really, no HD, no repeats all for the same price!!!
