There is a new update for it on another site for 15th march, but as I said the english links are just the same, italian ones are the only ones updated, does anyone know why the new Developer stopped putting updates on, maybe its too time consuming, or has he suffered the same online moaning that the previous Dev got?

Last post he said he has other commitments I don't think he would have fixed the install script if he had no plans on maintaining it

Apart from some things working on Series9 , older content, there is putlocker still working and on the Tsi player in the english section there is Streamlord, SeeHD, Media box and 123 movies all working pretty well at the minute.

Does anyone know of a foolproof tutorial method for changing from e2iplayer to e2istream?
I would just go and get the box, but not during this current crisis.
This chap can generally do technology, just want a tutorial as simple as possible.

Cheers

Connect flashfxp or filezilla, The go into lib -ennigma2-python - plugins-Extensions and delete IPTV Player then Restart GUI so e2iplayer wil be removed, Open putty click on telnet and enter, Password is root then enter. Copy and paste command propt line below and box will reboot and e2istream plugin will be on the box

wget --no-check-certificate http://www.softrix.co.uk/istream/installer.sh -O - | /bin/sh

Thanks Baz, moshi and gray - I know what you are talking about, I just wanted something in basic English for my mate to stand on his own two feet and understand.
A foolproof tutorial, if you know what I mean.

@wheelo wish I could be of help mate but I dont use the plugin at all on box.

Brain boxes on here I am sure will get a simple basic guide tutorial to help your mate. We have awesome people on here who always go extra mile to help.

Get in on it Baz, moshi, gray and anyone who wants to join in :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:

Putty can be downloaded at
Code:
Download PuTTY: latest release (0.73)

If using a Mac there are instructions at the end of the document for an alternative to Putty

First open Putty, and in the HostName (or IP address) box enter the enigma2 boxes IP address, and then click the Telnet radio button and click open

And then log in using the word, root

Now copy and paste

Code:
wget http://www.softrix.co.uk/istream/installer.sh -O - | /bin/sh

Hit enter and it should install the plugin and box will reboot

Once box has rebooted copy and paste these commands one at a time and hit enter

Code:
cd /tmp && rm -f pycurlinstall && wget http://softrix.co.uk/istream/precompiled/pycurlinstall && python pycurlinstall

Code:
cd /tmp && rm -f ffinstall && wget http://softrix.co.uk/istream/precompiled/ffinstall && python ffinstall

If using Mac

There is a version of Putty for Mac but is not very good.

Open Applications ->Utilities ->

Type the following command telnet 192.168.X.X (change the IP address to the one for the Zgemma/Enigma2 boxes)

Enter the username root (and password if you have set one) and press enter

Then follow the instructions above.
