This line "Sit back and put your feet up while I download the base image from and flash you box." is only there for a second then a bunch of text come up. I don't get the feeling it is downloading/installing anything.
I don't live in the UK nor Ireland. Does that have to do with anything? Tried this twice, first I took the UK option and second time I took Ireland.

Hopefully someone gets it, I don't.

Thank you!

The mounting methods are different between the images, PLI will by default mount USB devices as USB. PLI do not use box branding.

Download OpenATV image, do not unzip it, Transfer it to the root of USB device, in PLI, you can flash the image using the remote.

You can then install kiddac skins, softcam feeds until you sort out the formatting/file system.

Thank you for your reply!

Is there a stable version for my box, Zemma H8.2H?
I found this page - but no zemma box- Downloads gesamt

I could only find nightly versions - openATV Nightly Downloads.

EDIT: I found this manual of the website if someone else is looking for them. http://zgemma.org/uploads/3/4/8/7/34872893/flash_way_of_h8.2h_openatv.pdf

With kiddac skins, softcam feeds, are these plugins that I download directly on the box? Can I use my m3u-link? I have a user/pwd login as well.

Thank you once again.

OpenATV create images almost nightly. The Zgemmas are manufactured by Air Digital., so click on that list and then select your receiver.

Their default image is 7.0, which is python 3.97 based. Best you use the 6.4 version for now.

openATV Nightly Downloads

I don't know exactly what exactly in Grogbuild you want, but you should be able to accomplish what you mentioned without it. Once you have ATV installed, and you still need the customisations from Grogbuild, it should be easier for you to apply them.

Hi Abu Baniaz!

I'm looking for an image to make my box zgemma h8.2h an IPTV box. I have received an m3u link but also information with URL and user/pwd so I can fill that in.
I'll try OPENATV 6.4 and take it from there.

thank you!

There is something wrong with the box I guess.
Trying for 2 days now to get in the bootmenu. How hard can it be?
Tried with to different USB-sticks.
.zip on root, unzipped the files in h8-folder in root. Tried the nand.zip and recovery_usb.

zgemmah82h

openatv-6.4-zgemmah82h-20221105_nand.zip

openatv-6.4-zgemmah82h-20221105_recovery_usb.zip

I have followed this Zgemma pdf and many others but with no luck.
Only getting to the screen
"This is a homebuild image based on OpenPLI."

Flash Grogbuild by command line, make sure you have initialised your usb in the box before you start.
I assume the menus work on screen?

Hey Pablo,
Yeah I already tried that in post #21. Still issues with;

Hi again,

is the command line still working for flashing Grogbuild? I saw this while executing.

Looks like there is an issue with the server. http://flashmybox4.me just loads a blank page.

It's not happy about something anyway:

What is on the box? if a py3 system then the script will not work as the BoxBranding module is written in py2.7, I'm sure I've already said it wont work if you have py3.x on the box.

flashmybox4.me will be blank, there is nothing there apart from the files for e2 boxes, and I don't want them downloadable via browser so they can only be accessed via command line.

Hi Grog,
Thank you for your time!
I've been trying to get this to work for a couple of months now, don't know if you've seen te rest of this thread. Posted this in #29.

wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
cp: can't stat '/media/hdd/grogbuild/grogbuild-files/BoxBrandingTest.py': No such file or directory

Won't give up so easy and this community is very helpful.
Do you have another way to get this flash working? I've tried getting OpenATV 6.4 but can't get to the boot menu, I've been trying for three days with different approaches eg flash from the menu in the software.

This is what is on the box.
1667746566715.png

Download the newest openatv 6.4 for your box.
Unzip it on your laptop/pc.
Format your usb (FAT32) on your PC.
Put the entire unzipped folder onto the usb and put it in the powered off box.
Power it on and keep your finger on the standby button until the box starts flashing.

Once you have openatv 6.4 installed you can then install Grogbuild by command line

You should be able to get to the boot menu by holding down the power button on the remote when you power on.

I've never used multiboot boxes so I would listed to @Willo3092

I am afraid these days this is the only way to install grogbuild.

His screenshot says he's got py 2.7 so I can't see any reason why oa6.4 won't install.
To the OP, what make and size usb have you tried

to be fair the following is going to be the issue

Code:
wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
If the files aren't being downloaded then BoxBranding wont be found. Looking at the screenshot, your date is not set, are you sure the box is connecting to the internet as normally the time/date is automatically fetched from interent to ensure time is right

01/01/1970 is Unix epoch, if this is the case, the box has never been connected to the internet since it was flashed
