hi, im having problems putting my line on, my newcamd.list looks like this after a flash
CWS = vm.server.com 12000 user-10980 168248 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
CWS = tv.server.com 10100 user-7321 1285612 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

i have host,port,user,pass but where do they go? noob! vm.server.com(host) 1200(port) user(user) but where does the password go? 10980 168248?

Have u added the "MgCFG" file onto your box?

Ignore my last comment only just read the details and see they're sucmnsees example lines lol. So as user above said,if you follow instructions it's easy. Just use your remote to delete the line already there and enter the details your supplier has given. It is best to ftp so no mistakes,but not everyone knows how to do that

ok lines in and ive followed the bit for scanning channels only getting freesat channels? still getting sid error on startup too

Have you got 2 feeds in back of box or just one?

my advise is simple, if its not working correctly after performing an image flash rather than trying to work out what you did wrong just start over & flash again, IF you follow the instructions/procedure to the letter you wont have issue, Ive performed new image installs myself many times so no longer need a guide but looking at the posts for this guide If followed correctly it works. As you are still setting your box up a reflash will only take a few minutes

No worries. I had this same problem.follwed all steps but didn't work. Just had to download and add mgcfg and it worked. Let me know later and ill send u the file if u don't already have it

dribbler IF your line is entered correctly your channels will clear once the cam is restarted, I have a feeling that IF you check newcamd.list via ftp you will see the dummy line is still there & your active line was not saved, this often happens because while using ftp IF you don't see the window asking to write back to server once you've edited it it wont save & reverts back to the dummy line hence only getting fta channels.

I'd suggest not continuing with the guide until you have your line entered & saved, only then is it worth carrying on with the next steps of the guide otherwise it can be confusing to those who haven't completed an image install before, step by step....no jumping forwards. (yes it is possible to carry on & enter lines later but for the sake of simplicity follow the guide)

Meant to edit my post, turns out it was the lead from the dish, tried in a different room and worked perfect. Great image

thats my line, ive checked it in ts panel, file explorer, usr, keys. i did ftp the file .
the mgcfg file is in the same folder. im just stuck now lol

delete it from ts panel, add only to usr/keys/edit newcamd.list/ save file

Also I would try it without the keepalive part see how you go, remember you must restart mgcam 1.38 or 1.35 whichever you are using

when I ftp lines I just connect to the box, go straight to usr/keys/ edit newcamd.list/ Save file/ restart mgcam/ job done.
That's all that's been required. But Ive never used the keep alive part of the line, hope this helps!

my lines up and running awesome! i cant change the EPG location to hdd or flash drive? its stuck lol and im guessing thats why i dont see any programs in the guide? i dont fancy flashing the box again lol it is formatted to ntfs its a western digital pocket drive 1tb. ok just formatted my flashdrive (play.com 16gb) to fat32 and its working? is it the format or the drive?

i dont seem to be getting epg on sly channels anyone know why?

when you say delete from ts panel do you mean, ts panel,file explorer,usr,keys with the box on?

And the mgcfg file is in var/keys?that's where I had to put it in my box
