my box has lost ethernet internet connection after my line renewal in network test its saying local network not connected any ideas how to fix this thanks ps works on wifi but not ideal & also works on friends internet lan

try putting box into deep standby, reboot the router and once the router is back online turn the box back on.

Have you tried replacing the Ethernet cable?

Try a hard reset of router

Go to menu
Setup
System
Network
Device setup
Nameserver settings
Change nameserver 1 to 8.8.8.8
Nameserver 2 to 8.8.4.4
And save
Reboot the box
Check the nameserver settings have saved correctly
Perform another network test

for some reason its not saving the new nameserver 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 after reboot the nameservers are both blank again

When you put the digits in, press green to save
Then reboot

yes i did that but it comes back blank on both nameservers

Try deleting both nameservers by pressing blue
Reboot
Go back to Nameserver settings
Press yellow to create
Name 1 8888
Name 2 8844
Reboot

I think I had to change DHCP to no.

I have DHCP set to yes
Use manual dns nameserver set to NO. This is in adapter settings
