Usb memory needed for recording?

Can anyone advise me on what USB size I would need to firstly set up my box with images etc and also to be able to record. Let's estimate I want to be able to hold 10hours of HD t.v at one time.

buy a 1tb externally powered usb hdd if thinking of recording hd as that gives you time and space
max 8gb usb stick-kingston/cruzer/integral for flashing images to boxes.
i also use a micro usb 8gb for my epg stuck in rear port.

Not really advised to use hard drive for flashing but fine for recording

So I need a usb for flashing, a harddrive for recording and that's all? Surely the epg should auto update?

yes it will if setup correctly as i send my info to usb,if it corrupts i can format and reset up again,others have it to hdd.i thought sucmnsee had all that on the tut to follow??

You need a minimum of 4gb for flashing and you can not flash over 32 gb
