I tired dropping cccam file provided by our provider in there and it still showed up no cam 1 and no cam 2... When I tried to start it said no cam detected and that cam 1 cannot be the same as cam 2. Any ideas what I've done wrong? Thanks

By the at I have used a few different builds for these boxes and set up quite a few using the ftp method. I just seem to have an issue with this build. It didn't recognise the file for some reason. Will try again tomorrow as its my day off.

also does anyone know how to do simple installs. If I decided I wanted to set my dad or uncle up. Is there a super quick method to put software, skins and line onto box maybe even do all this remotely?

Thanks. I've had so many issues with these boxes. I have a zgemma s, s2, h1 and h2.... All have had issues. Few times stuck on constant bootload after OTA update using either vix or openatv. Have had numerous instances where the box things the hard drive is full and won't record or pause. Only method I've found to fix is reformat hdd. I'm thinking of trying my luck with a VU solo2.
 
Lovely image and great instructions..just one thing that's happening is when I reboot the box it crashes and I'm left with no option but to switch off and the back and it seems stuck and won't reboot...the errors differ from proc to....Python gibberish to me Prob only something small..have to add to it happened to me a few times yesterday on different images while I was looking for one I liked best..that's yours

Thanks for the thumbs up, I am glad to hear it.

It doesn't sound like your problem is WooshBuild related if it happened on different images. Everything in the build is standard with just CrossEPG not being allowed to update. Maybe try and over the air update as if you haven't done it yet some of the files will be getting old.

The biggest advantage of OpenATV builds on the Zgemma boxes is that you can update from the box without fear of your crashing your box - well 99% safe.

Menu -> Setup -> Software management -> Software update

Then, when the list has been populated press the green button to update. Your box will tell you it needs to restart. You will now be running the very latest system files from the nightly zgemma.tv website.

If you box still crashes, try and make note of the python gibberish and start a thread and include the python crash message the best you can.

Well just tried that there and there was no updates for my box..assuming I'm up to speed so file wise.?

I always use srp picons so go for it and see what happens But at the end of the day, it is your box so if it wont' use snp picons, make it so it does.

Unless an update has been run I find it odd that there are no enigma2 updates available as this morning I have 19 available on my H2S and it is using the 5.1 as you are.
 
This is an outstanding build, super fast, really easy to install and does exactly what it says. Thanks very much Wooshman, it's appreciated.
 
I have uploaded a CCcam.cfg file to usr/keys and gone to softcam panel to check if its working and also hit start and it keeps saying no cam started.

Are there any files required to be uploaded for this to work? or am i missing a step somewhere?

If you are going to the softcam panel and purely press start without doing anything else you are not telling the box to use your cccam file.

Is your cccam.cfg file known to be good? when did it work last? Does it need testing ? It you want it testing, PM me the line details.

You need to change "Select Cam 1" to CCcam 2.3.0 and then press start

Wooshman - Top Build, Excellent Best I`ve Seen, Very Much Appreciate All The Hard Work. I found it simple and easy to install including the line no major issues.

I do have a question regarding the way the remote control and skin interact? With the sky remote you have a tv guide button and then using the arrow keys to scroll across the EPG Guide via the individual tabs, i.e entertainment / movies / music etc which will then only list those channels according to each sub category. Is there away to get this setup the same on the 2S remote?
 
Yes that was exactly it wooshman, im such a noob. All was done correct, i just didnt know that the right and left arrow selectors on the remote toggled the cam on, i thought install would enable them or start or even clicking the ok button.

Noob error. lol just didnt appear clear to me but i wont forget that in a hurry again. lol Thanks man this software build is top draw!

update: For all those reading my issues, they are user errors not build errors lol

If you press 'EPG' on your remote then 'Menu' it'll bring up the EPG options. I think it's the third one down, something along the lines of 'Show Bouquets'. Switch this to yes and press the Green button to OK.
You should now be able to select a bouquet when you press EPG.
 
I've just bought one of these zgemma boxes and think it's had vix (how would I find out ) installed by the seller, if I install this whooshbuild does it delete vix or do I have to uninstall vix first

Installing this image will completely wipe Vix and any trace of it from your box.

You will need to backup your line (gift) if it has been put on your box by the supplier. The instructions say about this and point you to kiddac's guide on how to backup.

hello im trying to update my newcamd onto my box,its a openatv box with this sky build on it! i have enter the line on the laptop to the correct place anyone have any ideas whats going wrong? i cant get paid channels etc thanks
 
Well I have a cline but I hope I havent screwed my box because I loaded files onto my formatted drive and booted up and the box seems to be locked just saying "boot" and nothing on the the TV screen? any help please.

There are a load of Vix users and some image builders on here. I would say if you are new and it has vix on it, leave vix on it. Why flash you box before you have even had a good play with it. Sucmnsee has a good guide to setting up but I know nothing about it. Have a look around the forum and create new thread if you need help.

Please have a look around the forum for stuck on boot problems. There will be posts which refer to Vix.

This thread is for WooshBuild which is OpenATV - sorry!
