The UK Gambling Commission are proposing new regulations whereby bookmakers would have to conduct stringent affordability checks on all customers. While the aim is to protect vulnerable customers, the new measures could mean demanding proof of income & credit checks.
What should happen is the government should ban all betting sites adverts on tv and radio and especially at half time of live football games along with shirt sponsorship.
Where there is gambling and thus money there will always be skullduggery, remember greed is the downfall of man.
National Lottery should be for the nation and therefore 50p a ticket, no silly roll over nonsense, share the winnings for those who paid to play the draw.
