if that was the case mine would be off it million times better than iptv all services have downtime difference is this is quality *** 75 yearly is decent price i rather go with that than iptv .
Thats your choice tbh mate.

IPTV has come a long long way last few years where not only is it reliable and stable but quality of streams is actually really really good.

If you have sat then no doubt quality will be on a much higher scale compared to IPTV.

u said ppl got burnt that not true is it as mine went down and came back also was updated on telegram go sell iptv stop hating spreading tails

No one is trying to sell IPTV on this thread.

Just was pointed out that may be a risk going with these boxes just for 28.2 alone if encryption gets changed to the newer one. For euro sat systems these boxes are perfect and no issue really.

iptv can be good but requires many factors i just dont like the fact so much rumours as i brought one was up and down but it rare product at present so expect this im glad to see real HD and hope it just improves people have a choice this way, some day i was unable to watch iptv changed from many providers find stable provider not everyone can afford to keep buying iptv. test can be perfect but peak times no good

Thing is IPTV can offer a bit more than CS. 3pm kick offs , channels around the world, movie and series, catchup etc. Think i would rather have all those added extras than have "True hd". But its good to have both as an option

Not really tales is it? A few weeks it lasted and 2 months later it's back on. What's the guarantee it won't go off again?

All he said was people need to be careful as it could happen again
I'm not here to vouch but i don't believe he done a runner an few weeks 2 months make your mind up i bet you didn't even buy i did and what was the reason it up and down has told us and if you go ask the provider like i have he will explain unlike many iptv providers i been bumped by 4 in the past 2 years i dont see any difference it a new product once people start to hear about it thing will change i guess that your fear as a iptv provider but for us ppl that only pay to watch quality matters

Your responses are quite rude I must say when fellow members are trying to help by giving their advice.

As stated no one in this thread is trying to sell IPTV nor are they providers so not sure why you keep going on about this. They are merely stating that on 28.2 its a probable chance sat wont work down the line.

Sat UK working again?

He didn't reply to anyone on telegram when it was on and off then closed the chat when it stopped.

I meant it started early January and lasted a few weeks. 2 months later he finally turned it back on.

I'm glad it's back and hopefully it lasts and so far it's been great.

I brought into it knowing the risk and all @moshibeth was doing is advising users to be cautious.

I'm also sure you have seen his other telegram messages about discussing this so I'll leave it at that.

I have contacted nearly 25 installers in West London area and none were ready to set a motorised dish. Recently found 4 installers who have said yes to install motorised dish, 2 are quoting £520 and £580 just for labour. Rest two are quoting around £300 for labour.
So I might go with one of the cheaper one. Out of 4 only 2 are on CAI website as installers one expensive one and one cheap.
Currently only using 28e.
I had mine done for 200. He supplied the dish, lnb, cables, scaffold pole, brackets etc. Was gonna do it myself, but for that price it was a no brainer

Bargain of the century that was mate, I put my system up in my old house in 2007 and it cost me £240 then for the dish, motor , cables, lnb, and a technomate sat receiver and the wall mount, Still using the motor, lnb, cables, I am using a different dish nowadays and a zgemma receiver, but got my moneys worth, but you said it yourself yours was a no brainer, well done on that one.

I hope to find someone cheaper
You know that old saying, pay peanuts get monkies, most pro installers will want decent money for their work, as there are few about who know what they're talking about, if they do a good job you won't be ringing them every week to come back because they cut a corner, the system should keep working for several years.
For example I've had my setup about 6 years now, it's on ground level in my garden, so easy to work on, I noticed the pole had gone slightly of level when checked it with a spirit level, this had caused slight loss of reception, I used a car jack with bolts on bracket lossened, to bring it plum, and adjusted dish angle slightly.

I agree but it is difficult to separate the cowboys from the pros.
The one who quoted £528 just for install, his website says he is CAI+ member, so I searched for him on the website and he or his company are not on CAI getmeviewing website. So is difficult to know who is what in terms of their skills.

It's about £250 in our area for the install. You normally have to buy the dish, pole etc on top.

I phoned a few and it seemed to be the going rate.
