A few users mentioned on Troypoint that the apps amazon targeted didn’t get removed from their external storage connected to their Amazon devices.

As somebody who really doesn't understand most of this can I just ask 'Does this mean that my iptv subs will stop working as they are using 3rd party apps who supply my iptv?
or are they just blocking apps like Tivimate and or Smarterspro?
Is the recommendation to look to an alternative to the firestick instead?
sorry if these questions seems obvious but I have to explain it to an 80 years old neighbour who is disabled and hard of hearing

They only seem to be removing apps with malicious code at the moment.
Also it would seem if you have those apps running on an external drive connected to your Amazon device they are not being removed.

Thanks for that. So no need to look at a different box although I was interested in the Mecool KM7 or KD5 boxes as alternatives

That’s entirely up to you to decide.

In all honesty, the apps that amazon are now blocking you should not want on your device anyway. Those apps, when open, have been proven to utilise your device resource and internet access to bounce revenue earning advertising to all and sundry without your knowledge or permission.

Hi all, I recently was helping a mate out with a new FireStick and I couldn't download ANY apps from the Appstore. The fix is to Clear the Cache and data from the Appstore App and reinstall it. Worked for me.

Yes I was aware but I couldn't even download the Downloader app.

Downloader is there and available, not to sure why you would need to clear cache and data on a new firestick.

Apps now no longer running from external USB. Although heard if you change the apk name, it will then work. But not tried this yet.
APK name change is wots used to do this.
Sure a new version will popup soon.
