Theguru: read my slyk skin thread first post. The instructions are there, you need to edit the extras.xml file to remove picons from the info bar. If you are struggling post in my skin thread

The PC which is showing invalid command doesn't appear to have the FTP client installed. For your sanity (and mine) I would say just use filezilla and manually FTP your line across to the usr/keys folder. It is simple enough, really it is.

Or if you know windows, make sure the FTP client for windows is installed.

I have manually FTP the line to the USR/keys folder and it is working perfectly. I was previously trying to FTP to the CCAM in etc folder. Told you I was new at this. Thanks again for some great advice and a great setup guide.
 
Hey would also like to say thank you only new myself to all of this took me a few times to get my head around it but got there in the end.
So people keep at it because it works and works great at that.
 
Hi, Thanks for the Flawless Guide, Just wondered if yourself or anyone you know had any thoughts on doing the same for the Edision Mini :-)

ok chaps ive had the h2s for a month or so and set it up with wooshbuild v1 and kiddacs sly skin. everythings running great but fancy the new update with picons and i assume audio sorted as sometimes get narrated especially on sly 1 !!!. my main question is will i lose all my recordings and any auto timers and timers i have as i have quite a few and dont think ill bother if i will lose them. if they will all stay then ill give it a go, i have read through the instructions again wooshman a few times, but im unsure where to start as they are the idiots guide to starting from scratch not to update( i am that idiot lol but managed great 1st time).

I'm in the same boat - without thinking I tried to update to this build! I tried with an USB both front and back but it did not flash! Had I thought about it I would have asked about recordings already done! Still - is there a way to update without flashing?

On channels that narrative

Press Audio button - then move from NAR to one below it.

You may need to do it manually by FTP using filezilla or another FTP client.

The only other thing is if you are using a laptop on wireless, use a network cable and plug your laptop directly into your router, for some odd reason some people have reported this fixes the issue. Again though, why this happens I don't know as I only ever use my laptop on wireless and have never had this issue.

Give it a try as you are doing it correctly.
 
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Fantastic build and was able to get my Sky Channels back after a problem I encountered. Also a complete and concise set of instructions to allow me to set this up. However, there is a slight problem that the sound keeps going off after a couple of minutes for a few seconds. This keeps happening even after I have updated the files through software update and rebooted. Hope someone has come across this and are able to provide a fix as it is really frustrating? I have even changed the cables, etc.

Keep up the good work and thank you again for a great build!
 
may be missing something but tuner b is giving me nothing out, tuner a works fine and I have tried my previous back up and its fine so something in this build is not working for me on my 2s
