Guide A guide to the best boxes for IPTV 2021

Formuler z11 is the only device you need it comes with its own dedicated app and the specs are in a different league to any other device only shield comes close but z11 is on different level to any other device out there
The CPU is nearly six years old now and below average compared to devices you can buy now. So not sure what specs you have looked at on other devices.

So my brother had a stroke so can't do anything other than simply watch TV (he can move about but not communicate very well and has lost use of his right hand/arm). Reason for mentioning this is I want to get him a set and forget box.
Now I was thinking of the old faithful Zgemma (because i can log into it remotely if I actually need to fix the thing). But I have had my head turned slightly by the Formuler Z11pro max and the Thompson 270 for their apparent speed/snappiness.
The real issue is I live 500 miles from my bro. So I need something that I can either set up and it will simply "work" or I need to be able to log in remotely like I can on the Zgemma (I did this using an old laptop constantly on in his house with teamvieiwer running which then allowed me onto his network to do channel lists/provider changes etc.)
He only need it to watch live TV. Recording and timeshift and all that are not required. Good reliable epg would be a good asset but not a disaster if it failed.
He will only be using it for TV (iptv).
If you guys were in this situation which box would you pick? As you can probably tell by the choices I put up money isn't an issue really. The ability to either leave it switched on or for it to basically be switched on and be easily into TV mode are the must haves. No bloatware as much as possible.

Still doesn’t change the fact that the cpu is nearly six years old and there a better device available now. If you need to have MOL3 then you have no other option than buying a Formuler device.

If you go for an android box such as the Thomson 270 i would suggest you consider running iMPlayer for the iptv sub. That way you can use iMPlayer online dashboard to load, refresh hide sections etc remotely

It’s been updated
so its not 6 years old then is that what your saying fell as was thinking about getting one till i heard the cpu was 6yrs old as i have a zgemma h9.2h se stb as i like putting my freeview through the box thats why i was dissapointed they had not added a tv tuner but under neath the specs they tell you what tuners you need for the box which is another £70 i think a lot of people would of been happy if they had added a tuner
