What's new

Anyone yet indirectly affected by the Corona outbreak?

@pupuqiop why am I not surprised all the wealthy pieces of s*its like plonker branson want to keep every penny of their billions.

Greed at its finest in this climate.

Read about this earlier and p*ssed me off big time.

We only have ten special schools in Belfast and they are all closed as from last week, a lot of schools have made their own decision to close and some have decided to remain open for now, its a tricky one all round, makes you wonder if the uk goverment has kept the schools open because of the chaos which may happen if they close them, Parents needing to get someone to look after them ,if they are working, if not then they would need to stay at home, also kids that get free dinners in schools , their parents will then have to find extra money to buy extra food, plus its hard to keep kids indoors at the best of times, so it will end up with the younger and the teens playing out and hanging about the streets with their mates anyway, I am glad mines are all grown up now, although we will be helping out with our grandson, who's school is closed, he is 9 and we just found out tonight that our 4 year old grandaughters nursery school has decided to close until after the easter holidays so all the family will have to help out from here on in.

I'm affected by it now.
Govt this afternoon said no travel abroad unless necessary.
My fishing trip on 27th is necessary so still going.
Got home and Brittany Ferries have suspended sailings from 19/3 to 12/4
Can't go
We're due to go away in 3 weeks, Ryanair still have not cancelled flight but company I booked holiday through asked that we gave them a few days to sort out those that are expecting to travel in the next few days and then they will give us options. I don't want to cancel as I will lose £££. It's a waiting game

We never take insurance , it's just a lake in France and we send him deposits in January and final payment 6 weeks before we go, that was early February
We'll get refunded the ferry money, around £150 each, the lake costs £1400 so over £220 each that we may not get back.
We go twice a year so probably get a free week next year, providing this Chinese shite hasn't eaten our lungs in the meantime.

He'll get back home easy enough, don't read too much into these travel bans, most of them are just lip service to quieten the restless public, travel continues unabated.
I think they're a waste of time anyway.
Us, France and most of Europe have thousands of cases of C19, people moving around isn't going to make one iota of difference now

My kids high school has just announced a partial closure - years 10 and 12 sent home from noon today until further notice. Seems sensible years to pick, not in big exam years and old enough to look after themselves at home without adult supervision so parents won't need to stay off work. Closure is due to staff shortages.

How do you know that as that is just your assumption.

Not saying can go into millions and even billions but there is no evidence to suggest that it will.
Up to 80% of people are expected to get it.
Obviously not all at the same time, hopefully, but when it explodes it will go berserk, we won't be seeing figures treble every 3 or 5 days like it is now, it will double every day.
You only have to look on Google to see how pandemics spread
