City euro ban

That's what they get and be surprised if decision gets over turned.

At least they don't need to wprry about finishing in the top 4 the next 2 season lol.

If appeal is rejected could see this being peps final season.

That is capitalism for you.

City seem confident decision would be overturned. Wouldnt be surprised at all with CAS siding with them.

All these big boys who break the rules deserve to be banned. Simple as that.

FFP is an absolute joke. Dont see the point of it when it is not adhered to.

There not going to win it with that defence so not entering makes sense until we can defend properly we have no chance Pep or no Pep

Can see the decision being overturned but if not and Sheffield utd held onto fifth spot that would be some achievement lol promotion one year champions league the next year

One of the funniest things to happen in modern football.

Their fans are hilarious.they are genuinely convinced that the fa, var, referees and goal keepers as conspiring to give liverpool the title. So much so they have been saying that this year should have an asterisk next to their title win. Tainted title they say.

Well, it turns out that their achievements of the last 7 years may actually be expunged due to literal and proven cheating.

Love also that they are proud of their "historic firsts " of 100 points andn domestic treble when these previously unthinkable achievements are now banal across the euro leagues. Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Scotland all have seen 100 point seasons and trebeles, doubles etc etc that were previously unthinkable. This has coincide with the establishment of super rich clubs.

And city have literally been found guilty of financial doping.

What that about tainted titles?

Lol

Christ alive, that's a hell of a lot of bitterness :tearsofjoy:

If you commit the crime, you must be prepared to do the time.(as they say).

I'd imagine most Premier League clubs are bending the rules around FFP.

Not bitterness, just giddiness.

Bluemoon is my favourite forum.

City and liverpool are the two most socially inept, unaware and unironically hilarious fan groups around.

This ffp ban is the best thing for footbal entertainment since the back pass rule came into force.

Marti Samuels has written a good article on this in the guardian.

MARTIN SAMUEL: Ban is payback by clubs who hate Manchester City

You have to differentiate between which clubs are better run - the one turning a profit and Having no debt, or the one in serious debt, with owners taking huge amounts out .

It is laughable that EUFA top brass announced BEFORE the enquiry started the punishment he was going to mete out.

Dont think the club or team is corrupt. But the owners certainly are.

This applies to any club not just city. Where you defraud the system and bypass the rules then you should face the ultimate punishment.

There should be no way to get around that imo.

It's a nonsense of a rule the way it was set out - under current rules, a new owner can invest as heavily as they wish, as long as they have a very specific plan to get the club on a level footing.
These rules were changed around the time of the PSG takeover (funny that, considering their representation on EUFA board), and when applied to City - who have no debt and turned a profit for the last four years - wouldn't even raise an eyebrow.
It mustn't be forgotten that many clubs have been investigated, it's just that some - PSG and Liverpool, for instance, had theirs swept under the carpet.

FFP is an utter joke to keep all the top clubs in a football monopoly anyways.

How are lesser teams supposed to close the gap on Man Utd, Liverpool etc without having rich owner these days?

If FFP was adhered every season then Man Utd could continually blow every one out the water with transfers as they are commercially far bigger than anyone else.

Surely that’s not what people want?
