You can dress it up whatever way you like, at the end of the day we all have the right to refuse
Nobody said you didn't mate. The vaccine will not be mandatory and it shouldn't be either.
pfizer is one of the largest drug companies on the planet and one of the most corrupt ,they have been buying there way for years ,
If you don't like Pfizer, Astrazeneca are operating on a not for profit basis during the pandemic. Developed of course by a University, not the private sector. Due to the cost and logistics, this will be the main vaccine deployed throughout the UK and the world I believe.
refusing to a vaccine that has yet to be proven safe
It has been proven safe up to however long the trials stated, so let's say 6-9 months. Science is very advanced in this area, the way the vaccine's work i.e. training the immune system to produce t cells/antibodies etc and being prepared for the covid spike protein - there's nothing scientific or within logic that would suggest any long term side effects. It's like getting a cold and having an immune system ready to fight it off the next time. The approval has been given by an independent body that are publishing all data and recommendations. If you think you know better than these people, that have spent their entire careers in this field, that's up to you.
what is selfish is letting your families buy into this, who knows how it will affect them down the line
Let's look at the current situation. I would imagine we can at least agree we have a big problem at the moment. The economy is in pieces and will continue to get worse with more lockdowns, furlough and borrowing. Your family and mine will be paying for this for generations. Can you recall the hardship that austerity caused? Now consider how much more we've borrowed during the pandemic than we saved through austerity.
At the end of the day we all collectively have a problem. There are those that will try to do something about it and those that will let everyone else solve the problem. Which of those people fall into the 'selfish' category, we can each have our own opinions on that.
