Eutelsat 16 and Astra 3b on one dish

Hello.
Is it possible to fit these two satellites (16° East and 23.5° East) on a 65 cm dish with a multi lnb bracket. Or better to wait for an 80 cm dish?

Depending on where you are in the country it is possible on a 80cm dish. Prime focus on 16e or dish pointing to 19e and have both LNB's offset on a bracket.

You will struggle with a solid signal on 16e with 65cm dish, even 80cm in most of UK will have rain fade issues depending on location.

Hi thanks to you and Ferret, I'm in west London, ATM 23.5° is getting (Gigablue UHD UE) Max transponder 77% SNR down to Min transponder 63% SNR. Thought I'd experiment and add 16°

Is that 77% on a 65cm dish ?

It is worth a try on an 80 with prime focus at 16e.

You can get 23.5e on a dustbin lid in SW UK signal is so strong, 16e can suffer from rain fade on 80cm, Def needs to be bigger if poss.

Yes, 65 cm Technomate dish and LNB, Transponder 12032 H (SNR 77%, AGC 96%), down to Trans 11914H (SNR 63%, AGC 98%) most transponders are high 60s SNR.

What are you getting those readings off? Ok can see you are using Gigablue UHD UE, Not sure I would believe some of these stb when it comes to signal readings. A viark for example gives low readings on perfectly aligned dishes. Others have high readings on poor signals but signal breaks up on a higher threshold than other stb's

Just had a look with my sat finder (cheapish-GT Media V8 Finder 2 (P) I have noted 6 transponders (FTA) which I "test" with the tester, and compare with the box.

11739V Gigablue SNR 64%, AGC 98%, Tester Quality 74% Strength 73%
11914H Gigablue SNR 64%, AGC 97%, Tester Quality 74% Strength 72%
12168V Gigablue SNR 68%, AGC 95%, Tester Quality 74% Strength 72%
12090V Gigablue SNR 64%, AGC 95%, Tester Quality 72% Strength 72%
12110H Gigablue SNR 68%, AGC 99%, Tester Quality 77% Strength 73%
12129V Gigablue SNR 64%, AGC 95%, Tester Quality 74% Strength 72%

I have noted that all my readings with all the satellites (13°, Astra19°, 23.5° and Sly 28°) are all higher on the sat box compared to the tester

Yep that won't be the best either, but you can see how wildly they range, if you had a viark testing now it would be another extreme.

80 cm dish will be dodgy for 16e, I had rain fade on TD88 in SW UK

To tell the truth, 23.5° is not my "go to satellite" But I have watched some sport on ESPN HD (11739V) and the picture/sound comes in really good (haven't had any storms lately)

Like I said 23.5e is easy, 16e will be your issue.

16 east is low responsive transponder, depending on your location With 80cm inverto satellite dish and TD series bracket i couldnt get
high s.n.r 23.5 was good s.n.r just had to modify the brackt slightly to have the green
l.n.b as tight to 19.2 east

If you using a Diseqc switch I always connect the low responsive transponder to port A If the
Switch ever faults Port A will be the only port thst will stay active
