Gigablue & motor issues

Right this is what I would do, connect the cable that goes straight to lnb into tuner A on giga and set it for 28east. Tuner B is usals. Then go menu setup tuners and scanning, positioner, arrow down to go to make it west and press green and with a bit of luck dish will move but you need to check outside, if at zero it will look dead straight. If it is select BBC NEWS on 28 east and wait. But even its not select BBC NEWS at 28.

report back,

ps i had to go out

OK - just before i give that a go - the dish is absolutely looks dead straight right now - i'll take a photo of it from outside just as a FYI

You have two wires to that LNB. One goes to the motor, then where? Where does the other one go?

I would not start scanning. You are just going to get into more issues if motor is pointing at wrong satellite.

There are two cables that come back into the house - picture below:

Photo of how the dish looks like right now.

Yesterday it was pointing at 16e as I had moved it to 16e on the Viark and clearing. Since I plugged in the e2 and reflashed yesterday it has moved. I'm not sure where it is but it appears to be somewhere between a satellite and some transponders of 16e.

(I won't blind scan any sats - understood)

I think your back with Abu so will step out from now on. You should mark the cable that goes to motor with tape red is good. Take a pic from underneath dish to see if its straight. The reason I send you to 28 east is they are FTA. Now I dont know if you did as I instructed above ie send dish to zero then try 28 but as I said its over to ABU from here on in.

Thats Vix.

So Defeatist 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Please test one cable at a time. Select a channel on 0.8 w, then 13e, then 28.2e. then 15w. See if motor moves. If not, try the other cable. LED on motor should also change colours.

We are interested in establishing whether dish moves, not whether you get a signal lock or not. That will come later.

Also, is your power supply a good quality one?

I'll try this late (UK time tonight) as I need to head out just now but will respond with details.

Re PSU it's the same PSU that came with the e2 box from World of Satellite

Good morning all,

Update

I have tried both cables in Tuner A and Tuner B
I have setup both Tuner A and Tuner B

Tried to move the dish from 0.8w to 16e and 28.2e and the dish is not moving.

I've tried to move the dish by using the pre-configured channel list and not blind scanned a sat.

:(

So if you take out the E2 box and replace it with the Viark are you able to move the dish across the full arc ?

Again try both cables since your not sure which cable goes to the motor

Morning

For those that asked here is a picture of my Viark setup.

Update

Powered on the Viark and it immediately moved the dish to 16.e (I last used the Viark on Sunday, and was watching football successfully on 16e).
It cleared channels for a few seconds and now I have "scrambled" channel on the TV.
Can someone confirm 16.e is stable and fine on Viark or is there something going on?
My software version on Viark is v.123.

Next steps

The viark did move the dish back to 16e and it looks like it's in the "correct" physical position
No idea why 16.e channels are not clearing (did for a few seconds)
FTA channels are working perfectly fine it appears

I assume that I have the correct cable in the box as it's clearing FTA channels?

I can't imagine the e2 box is knackered.... it was moving my motor across the ARC solidily before I replaced with the Viark. It was sitting in the garage for a while - so perhaps last year winters damaged something?

I have not tried to move the Viark across the ARC in case it gets stuck, I have previously blind scanned 19.2e and Hotbird 13e so I could try moving to those sats or if someone has a channel list; and feels this is the safest option for Viark I will USB it to the box!

Other notes

The viark has had issues moving the dish freely across the ARC. I've often had the dish stuck on a sat and the only way to move it is try a new blind scan on Sat's and it frees it up. Not sure if this is worth flagging but wanted to just in case this results to some form of a motor issue?

Now try to move it across to 42east then 30w. Obviously on the viark those position may need turning on.

If it will do that we can safety say you dont have a motor problem.

I just want to make sure I understood this correctly; the ask is to go into antenna configuration and move the motor across each sat vs trying to scan in those sat's for channels?

If so I will go into antenna config and ensure USALS is against each sat and attempt to see if the dish moves.

Do you know where I can get reliable info to add the sat's in manually e.g. for 42.e (Turksat)
