I’d back Fury to win, mainly because of his size, reach, and awkward style But Usyk’s movement, speed, and boxing IQ could cause serious problems if he stays sharp and avoids getting tied up. It’s a tough one.

If it was a game of chance, yes, I'd agree, but considering it's a choreographed pantomime with a guaranteed outcome, I'd have to disagree.

I’ve followed both their careers from the start, and as someone who’s boxed for years, I still see Usyk coming out on top. His movement, skill, and ring IQ are next level. I want Fury to win to be honest but Usyk's a tough one, but boxing’s no pantomime anything can happen on the night.

I'm not saying the sport itself is a pantomime, if I want to watch a good boxing match where both are trying their hardest to win, I'll watch a pair of unknowns fighting for nothing but their careers.

Once there's 40 million on the table it becomes a different thing entirely.

It may be age induced cynicism or age induced experience but if you look at it from Fury's POV, if he fought Usyk once and won, and got his £25M, that would be the end of it.

If he lost, which he did, he'd get another £25M for the rematch.

And that would trigger a third and this would be a whopper at maybe twice as much.

So let's recap, one fight and make £25M or three fights and make £100M....I wonder which scenario he'll choose? 🤔

I've no idea of the sums of money involved, I'm just using these figures as examples, they may be higher or lower

You make a solid point boxing at that level is as much about business as it is about the sport. Promoters love stretching things out for maximum cash.
But once that bell rings, it’s still two men fighting for pride and legacy.
That’s why I reckon Usyk’s got a real shot he’s always seemed more about making history than chasing paydays.
In the end, we’ll see how it plays out this weekend.

Rematch clause is pretty common now in contracts.
The loser gets another shot and they both get another payday.
Usyk win wasn’t one sided so we will see what Fury’s game plan will be this time.
Fury got beat by the technically better boxer but would’ve been pissed because Usyk is the smaller man and not really a Heavyweight.

Spot on. Rematch clauses are standard these days more fights, more money.
Usyk definitely outboxed Fury with skill and movement, which must’ve stung given the size difference.
Fury’s game plan will be interesting this time he’ll need to be more aggressive and use his size properly.

I was right in the end haha, Close fight but Usyk was a bit better, Well deserved win for him, no doubt.

It looks like I was less right than I thought I was 😆

I thought Usyk was the better fighter on the night. Fury reminded me of me, I'm twenty stone too.

I didn't think it was close had usyk by 3 rounds johny Fisher was lucky to get it after round 5 was like watching to drunk guys fighting in a pub

I cant believe Fury went into part2 with the exact same mentality. He stood there pawing away allowing Usyk to basically go under his outstretched arm. You could see from his face Fury feared getting collared like in the first fight and he tried to fight the counter style which again sadly failed. He should have doubled up the jab and when Usyk came at him met him head on with a sharp jab. Fury chose to cover up again in fear of getting winged like in the first fight. There's 2 interesting videos doing the rounds, 1 of Fury getting taped up and you could see the worry and fear in his face, it was the look of a worried man. And the 2nd video and fly on the wall of each round the corners and their instructions. Usyks corner mentioned Fury's outstretched arm basically saying go under it while Furys was a mish mash of words but nothing tactical more mental to the point they were telling him he was winning lost rounds.

Fury has only fought 6 world title fights , 5 fights against the same 2 opponents. Its clear he's ducked opponents when there were fights out there taking on an over the hill Chisora a m8 to m8 payday. What I saw against Usyk was a Fury who's sell by date has gone a guy who talks money and nothing else. He started off his boxing journey saying it was all about keeping his mental health in order and it wasn't about the money he'd fight for nothing but sadly he no longer fights for his mental state of mind its all about the money, period and the hungers gone.

Like the Mayweather v Pacquiao fight were now going to fed a Fury v AJ fight about 5-6 years too late. Both fighters are well past thier best and if the Arabs really wanna put a show on get Itauma in with Usyk or Dubois whoever has a belt. Itauma has 4 months and 22 days to break the record which personally that will not happen with Usyk be out for 6 months and Dubois fighting in the new year he can only realistically fight for a belt if one belt is relinquished by Usyk

There was a video were Mayweather was saying Manny was taking gear and would not risk it getting in the ring with him,

I think Parker beats Dubois, I would like to see Parker or Zang in with Usyk
