Yes my other satellite dish which I haven't uploaded is a dish with the unicable lnb.
I have a photo somewhere I'll upload it

OK so the bigger dish is unicable set up.

The sky dish is now basically doing nothing so plan to replace it with a motorised one so was asking if existing lnb plus adapter would work on the motorised dish assuming the one I get didn't come with either.

Ok well that dish (as you have used it as an example) is A) pointless for using as a motorised dish and B) the adaptor with the technomate lnb won't fit it anyway.

Don't buy a dish that doesn't come with the lnb holder

I thought any dish can be motorised.
Why would you not be able to put the lnb or an adapter on a dish that doesn't have one?

Any dish can be, but that example was 64cm dish so it's smaller than the larger dish you are already using.

A sky lnb holder will not fit an other dishes and some dishes use a custom lnb holder that might not be available anymore, hence better to not buy a dish that doesn't come with it.

Yes thst was an example only but for arguments sake I've seen some 100cm triax dishes that come with lnb and some without.
The specs say it requires a 40mm collar.
So I'm assuming in those cases that collar with a standard universal LNB would attach onto a dish without any problems?

Only if the collar is included with the dish or if you buy a triax lnb holder.

The one supplied with that technomate lnb won't fit as it's for a sky dish and will need to be removed.

OK so if it's a 40mm collar then universal LNB 40mm would size would fit perfectly fine right?

Think your getting a little confused
When it says requires a 40mm collar it means the width of the Lnb
Unless your looking at a second hand dishes and they are missing the Lnb holder I wouldn't, go near them .

Oh right I get you now.
OK at least I know that now.

Although tbf if I remember correctly I did replace my triax 78cm dish with the sky 40mm adapter to accommodate my maclean unicable lnb and it fitted fine.
 
Openbox from the ages!
Its basic.
No such option like S2 etc.

It picked up channels in that range but not the one I wanted. Try again tmw
 
0.8w is a go to and also I spend a lot of time on 9.0e for the English discovery channels etc. Pleased I went motorised as I would never have considered these sats until I started using them.

I hadn't used my motorised setup for years (down the bottom garden fitted by Clive, 👍 satman great installer 👍 channel master 1.2 dish 18inch superjack actuator using uniden 771 positioner and various receivers since late eighties still mostly in the loft ) decided to try see if anything still worked the dish had been parked at 28.2 for thew years was still in goodish nick wired uniden positioner up using old spiderbox 9900 wanted to see if cam slot worked with tivusat cam and card for the misses Italian TV (yes it does ) actuator arm looked bit rusty but wiring inside looked pretty clean (considering ) lots grease and I am back. Motorised guys👍 what's still out there to pick up guy ? you mention your mostly on 08w 9.0e ? What you watching mate

I suggest you read the whole thread mate. Whats out there has been mentioned.

Most in this thread are using Enigma 2 boxes and Viark type boxes to clear the encrypted channels.

Good sats are but not limited to, 0.8w, 9.0e, 13.0e, 16.0e & 19.2e. 7.0e is good for BISS feed. The Viark 4k box is brilliant because it includes the forever server.

9e Afn be gone permanently next few months
23.5e is good for sports darts etc and entertainment and movies
1.9e gas few goid channels.
52e loads of sport and movies
