There was a well publicised case a few years ago where a group of people selling dedicated, pre loaded iptv boxes were ordered to repay the proceeds of their criminal activity and Sky requested that the money be returned to the public purse and was used to help combat crime so the taxpayer doesn't always bear the full cost of these investigations and subsequent prosecutions. Apologies if that doesn't fit in with the narrative.

You referring to those who was selling to pubs ect and made over 5 million in profit that’s a prime example as to why you shouldn’t sell fully loaded boxes/devices as distribution also comes into play

Even a vpn doesn’t protect you cause 99.9% of them store your data ect although the good thing is your only showing to be on a ip address which could be anything.

That situation with your mate just shows how fekked up the police system is
Its IPTV Not ISIS , all those who have received a letter in the past when a server gets raided are traced by 1 of 2 ways. The investigators use the payment details or their IP login to the server. Without the persons IP and and no payments details from the punter please explain how they will catch someone who drags a free MAC off the net and use a cracked VPN ?. Do you think they will hunt the IP down unraveling a hacked VPN for his £25 a year sub ?.

Its basic scare mongering tactics from the media and why ? because its out of control. Its Monsters Inc stuff what's under lies the bed the bogeyman. F**k me !!, it takes them years to bring down a huge server neverminded catch a punter in full vinegar stroke watching a firestick Adult section. People selling huge amounts might get a knock then the press will jump on it like a tonne of bricks how they caught little Johnny aged 17 with a panel and 50 users.
Cracked VPN
Free MAC loads about
jobs done, there's more chance getting killed in a plane crash and I dont fly

Well put mate... Its the msm way to put the "paid for" frighteners out there.

I'll put it another way, the Police don't go around lifting all the smackheads tottering around towns with one leg, pointless, they try to stop (and I stress try) the bigtime dealers. its cut the head off the snake conundrum ,

Honestly, I have never heard so much utter bullsh*t since the Boris and his Brexit push and the big red bus slogan.
VPN,
Free MAC,
happy days

Do you get fries with the free Mac's 🤣

Its not that easy to get transaction history off the bank. The 5 million pub one. They basicly got the info off landlords over a period of time.

There would of been a whole team on that one. If i rember correctly it was around £3,500 per pub a year. Which is a massive saving for pubs

Even if they were to trace people by using payment details, correct me if I’m wrong but how is a bank transfer / manual PayPal transaction much proof that the user bought an IPTV service? Obviously it would be the case but how can they prove it? It’s not like they all issue invoices with IPTV plastered all over it. A bank transfer with no notes attached could be for anything!

It's all about cost Vs returns.
They're not going to spend a fortune looking into payments and chasing financial tracks all over the internet in the hope that one reseller is going to be landed a suspended sentence like Dilly.

Payback is a bitch for Dilly with the people he scammed on here and if he only got a suspended sentence then end users and resellers don’t have much to fear 😂😂
Yup took more and more while knowing the end was nigh..
Not from me though knew it was on the cards
Far from "flawless" 🤣🤣🤣

No unless a massive catch. Because they would need to try and match evreything up i suppose.

The guy Bazz was refering to probably didnt make 5 million. He probably stole 5 million in business from sky
