That will be the IPTV kicking in it does this automatically when it carnt pick up a signal. You can turn that off in the settings if you want.

Can this move the motor when calibrating to the weaker sats, or would I still need to use the box for that?

Do you anywhere reputable that sells single Ks, or 2 Ks together?

I've checked the like of CPC, amazon etc and can only find them as part of a set.

No i bought 2 sets mate, yeah costs more but it makes for better stability.

If you know anyone that can weld get them make you a couple. Can't believe how much they are to buy. You could make them for a couple of quid. You could even bolt your own together if you've got a drill

Would a cranked pole be able to handle the weight/be stable with the TK brackets, or am I better off using a straight pole?

That type of crank pole is mostly used
With zone1 zone 2 satellite dish Its diameter is only 1.25 You will need a 50mm pole
50mm u bolts and your T.K set

I’m using the app to track the arc, unfortunately a roof is getting in the way when I go further east.

Do I need to ensure the whole dish has a line of visibility to the satellite, or just the top half?

At your reference satellite your satellite dish is at the top of the ark highest point
In your setup it will be Thor0.8 west 42 east
and beyond your at the lowest points of the
ark You might have to relocate your position futher back and higher up use the app until
It gives you a position with clear line of sight across the ark from east to west

I’m trying to workout how high I need to go to get 42e, I’m not too bothered about anything beyond.

Wherever you get a clear line of sight to 42e is where your dish needs to be,
It looks like you have a roof apex in the way.

Fortunately it's a pyramid hip roof and the slope isn't too steep, so I think I can clear that.

I just don't want to install it, and then discover that I didn't do it high enough.

Take your phone to the exact point that you want to install it.

By going two foot higher, I get good clearance over the house and clear visibility for the arc.

So is this point where the base of my dish needs to be, or the middle part of the dish?

Dont forget the satellite motor arm sits at 30° and the Satellite dish will be positioned
at the end of the arm so it will be lower
Make sure you allow for this

Finally got the motor, it looks new to me, a few slight scuffs/smudges but I don’t think it has been used

I pressed the east/west button and it moves/rotates. Also rotated as I was changing the antenna on the viark box.
