... I already tried opening a brand new account - Used Private Browsing, accessed only via VPN and got the same problem both with my Starling and with the Gift Card so that's why I suspect the VPN. Very strange. My mate has In Laws in Turkey and they all have mobiles, so I have that route but their English isn't good....
BTW I did get different results depending on the browser I used. The error messages were different Safari vs Chrome.
My account is via a Turkey, was set up a few years ago, my kids binge watch loads of stuff without a vpn and I've never been flagged.I'm not so sure, my downfall could have been the wife binge watching for a week solid, while of work sick. That could have been the flag for them

Halifax visa mate, my own account, i set up Netflix originally with all my personal UK details, paid for the basic package for one month then cancelled.
@spats Sorry about the 20 questions but did it need to send a text to verify the card or was that just for their records?
The trick here is that the card is added to the account while you have the UK sub. When you then subsequently subscribe to the Turkish sub it is already on file and thus doesn’t need sms verification. That’s how I did a few months back. Unfortunately that card is now expiring and I’m too lazy to switch back to UK for a month - so have gone down the gift card route for now
no need to apologize mate, the txt you receive is for verification in the UK only, after that your mobile no. is used for forgotten password.
